Build a residential window cleaning route

    This step produces your working map: the residential neighborhoods and commercial strips inside a 30-minute one-way drive of your home, each with a rough count of houses or storefront windows, and the three circled targets that become the test ground for this phase and the route for the rest of the plan. The tricky part is drive time — it is judged in minutes at the hour you will actually drive, not in miles.

    • Open Google Maps on a desktop and set your home as the start point; list 5–7 residential neighborhoods and 3–4 commercial strips you already know by name.
    • For each candidate, run Directions with the departure time set to a Tuesday at 7 a.m. — the hour you would realistically drive to a job — and keep only the areas inside 30 minutes one way.
    • Visit each surviving area once: count houses per block for neighborhoods, count storefront windows per block for strips, and write both counts next to each area.
    • Circle the two residential areas and the one commercial strip that are closest, densest and easiest to work street by street — these are the test ground.
