Draft a client service contract that actually protects you

  1. Define the full scope of work and deliverables
    30 min

This step produces a master list of every concrete output you will deliver — named, formatted, and counted.

The list becomes the scope-of-work section of the contract verbatim. Getting this right prevents the “I thought that was included” dispute later.

Write each deliverable as an output, not an activity:

    • ✅ “One 12-page brand guidelines PDF (InDesign source files included)”
    • ❌ “Work on brand guidelines.”

Keep the finished list as your source of truth. You will paste it directly into the scope-of-work clause in Phase 2.

If the list is longer than one page, save it as a separate attachment (Exhibit A) — the contract body stays clean and the exhibit can be updated without re-signing the whole agreement.
