Build a Home Inventory Documentation Service for US Households

  1. Interview ten households about their last claim
    4 hours

Recruit ten households — a mix of homeowners and renters, at least five of them people who are not close friends — and book 20–30 minutes each, in person, by phone, or on video. Ask every person the same four questions, in the same order:

    • After your last insurance claim, move, or renewal, did you have to document what you own?
    • How long did that take, and did you finish it or postpone it?
    • Did you hire anyone, or consider paying someone, to do it?
    • If a trusted local person delivered a complete photo-and-list inventory of your home for a fixed price, what would you pay for it?

Record each answer verbatim, plus the amount named and a clear yes or no on “would pay”. Do not sell and do not explain the service yet — this is research, not a pitch.
