Pass the NCLEX-RN on a 60-Day Study Plan

    This step produces a Pearson VUE account, a completed NCLEX-RN registration, and a $200 payment receipt. You will need the confirmation email and your candidate ID before you can proceed to the state board application. The most common source of delay here is a name mismatch — the name on your Pearson VUE account must match your government-issued photo ID exactly.

    1. Go to pearsonvue.com and click Create Account.
    2. Enter your full legal name exactly as it appears on your government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, passport, or state ID). Include your middle name if it appears on the ID.
    3. Select NCLEX-RN as the exam.
    4. Provide your email address, phone number, and mailing address. Use an email you check daily — this is where the Authorization to Test will arrive.
    5. Enter your nursing program details: school name, city, state, and expected or actual graduation date.
    6. Pay the $200 exam fee with a credit or debit card. Pearson VUE accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.
    7. After payment, check your email for the confirmation message from Pearson VUE. It contains your candidate ID number and a registration confirmation number.
