Plan and pass all four CPA exam sections

  1. Order official transcripts from every post-secondary institution you attended
    30 min

This step produces a submitted transcript request to each institution you attended, with payment. The tricky part: every school has its own ordering system, delivery method, and timeline — and if you attended three schools, you repeat this process for each one independently. Foreign-degree holders also need an evaluation report from NASBA International Evaluation Services (NIES) as a parallel workstream.

How to place each transcript order:

    1. Go to your institution’s registrar or transcript-ordering page (most use the National Student Clearinghouse, Parchment, or a proprietary portal).
    2. Select “Official Electronic Transcript” if available — it arrives in days instead of weeks. If only paper mail is offered, choose standard delivery and factor in the extra transit time.
    3. Enter the recipient address as shown on your state board’s application instructions page. In most jurisdictions that use CPA Examination Services (CPAES), the recipient is: NASBA CPA Examination Services, 150 Fourth Ave. North, Suite 700, Nashville, TN 37219-2417.
    4. Complete payment (typically $5–$20 per transcript).
    5. Save the confirmation number or order receipt — you will need it to verify delivery later.
