- Assemble the athletic profile sheet1 hour
What you produce: the master reference sheet every later step pulls from — the athlete’s identity, teams, coaches, academics and season-by-season stats in one editable place.
The sheet only saves time if it is complete now. Fill it once, fill it fully, and keep it somewhere both parents can edit.
Create a Google Sheet (or any shared spreadsheet) named “AthleteName — Recruiting Master”, then fill five blocks:
- Identity — full legal name, class (graduation) year, sport, primary and secondary positions, height, weight, jersey number.
- Teams — school team and club team, each with coach name, email and phone.
- Academics — current GPA and the planned course list from ninth grade on.
- Stats — one row per season: grade, team, season, and the sport’s key stats or times.
- Contact — one long-lived email the athlete will still check after high school.
Save the file in a shared folder and confirm the second parent can edit it.
