What you need first
The athlete is in grades 9–11 and plays on a school or club team with measurable statistics or times. The family has a long-lived email address the athlete will still check after high school, access to existing game footage or a plan to film upcoming games, and a spreadsheet for tracking schools and contacts. High-school course and GPA records are available, and the high school has a counselor who can later send an official transcript. No recruiting service or agent is involved in the process.
