Terms & conditions

Short version: use the platform honestly, treat a playbook as information rather than professional advice, and keep every consumer right Romanian and EU law gives you. The long version is below.

Last updated: 28 August 2026

1.Who operates Finito

Finito (finito.guide, “the platform”) is an information-society service operated from Romania. For anything in these terms — a question, a notice, a complaint, a request — write to hello@finito.guide. That address is also our single point of contact for users and for authorities under the Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065). We correspond in Romanian and English.

2.What Finito is

Finito is a marketplace for playbooks — step-by-step guides written to be executed rather than read. Some are published by independent creators; others are published by Finito itself. Where a creator publishes, we host and display their content as an intermediary: we do not write it and we do not verify every claim in it before it goes live.

A playbook is information, not professional advice. Nothing on the platform is legal, tax, accounting, medical, financial or engineering advice, and following a playbook creates no professional relationship between you and us or the creator. Fees, deadlines, forms and public-authority procedures change often — check anything with real consequences against the official source before you act on it.

Playbooks published by Finito itself are drafted with the help of AI systems and edited before publication; we say so on the playbook. We do not claim first-hand experience we do not have, and we do not present figures we have not checked as verified facts.

3.Your account

You need an account to run a playbook, comment, review or buy. You must be at least 16 — the age at which Romanian law (Legea nr. 190/2018, art. 4) lets you consent on your own to an information-society service offered directly to you.

Keep your credentials safe: you are responsible for what happens under your account. An account belongs to one person and cannot be sold, rented or transferred. You can sign in with an email address or through Google, Facebook or Apple, in which case we receive only the data you approve there.

You can delete your account at any time from your account settings; we confirm it by email and the deletion is permanent. What survives deletion, and for how long, is set out in our privacy policy.

4.What you publish

You keep ownership of everything you publish — playbooks, comments, reviews, images. By publishing it you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for display, translate and distribute it on and for the platform, including in previews, search results and promotional material. The licence lasts as long as you keep the content published, and after that only as long as needed for backups and for copies buyers already hold.

You confirm that you hold the rights to what you publish, that it infringes nobody else's rights, and that it is written in good faith. Reviews must reflect genuine use: no paid, exchanged or self-serving reviews, and no reviewing your own playbook.

A playbook you buy is licensed to you personally, for your own use, for as long as your account exists and the purchase stands. You may not resell it, republish it or pass it on. Where the platform lets you fork a playbook you own, that copy stays private to you and is covered by the same licence.

5.Rules of use

On the platform you may not:

  • publish illegal, misleading, defamatory, hateful or obscene content, or content that infringes someone else's rights;
  • fabricate experience, results, credentials or reviews, or pass generated content off as first-hand experience;
  • manipulate ratings, rankings or leaderboards through multiple accounts, bought votes or coordinated behaviour;
  • harass, threaten or impersonate other users, creators or our team;
  • distribute malware, phish, or try to break security measures, rate limits or access controls;
  • extract the platform's content in bulk (scraping) or use it to train machine-learning models without our written permission;
  • resell, sublicense or republish a playbook you bought.

6.Illegal content, reports and moderation

Anyone can report content they believe is illegal or in breach of these terms — from the report action on a playbook, review or profile, or by writing to hello@finito.guide. Say what the content is, where it is, and why you believe it is illegal; a precise notice is one we can act on quickly.

We assess reports without undue delay, diligently and non-arbitrarily. We may remove content, restrict its visibility, suspend its monetisation, or suspend or close the account behind it. Whenever we restrict something you published or bought, we send you a statement of reasons: what we did, on what ground, whether automated means were involved, and how to contest it.

You can contest any such decision for six months after it, by replying to that statement or writing to hello@finito.guide. We handle complaints ourselves, free of charge, and a person — not an automated system — takes the final decision. You can also bring the dispute to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body or to the courts. In Romania the Digital Services Coordinator is ANCOM (ancom.ro).

After a warning, we may suspend for a reasonable period users who frequently publish manifestly illegal content, and reporters who frequently send manifestly unfounded notices.

7.Buying: prices, payment and access

Some playbooks are free; others are paid. The price shown on a playbook's page is the total you pay, in the currency displayed and including VAT where it applies. You always see the price and what you get before you confirm, and nothing is charged without your explicit confirmation on a button that states the amount.

The contract is concluded when your payment is confirmed and access opens in your library — normally at once, because a playbook is digital content delivered to your account rather than a physical item. Payments are processed by Stripe; card details go to Stripe and never reach us. We send a confirmation by email; ask at hello@finito.guide if you need an invoice.

For a playbook published by Finito, we are the seller. For a playbook published by an independent creator, the contract for the playbook is between you and that creator and we act as intermediary, including collecting the price in the creator's name and on their behalf. Either way, send us any complaint, withdrawal notice or claim at hello@finito.guide and we deal with it or pass it on.

A playbook bought as a gift is paid by you and claimed by the recipient through the link we issue. Before it is claimed you can ask us to cancel it; once claimed, the licence is the recipient's.

8.Right of withdrawal

As a consumer in the European Union you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract without giving a reason and without penalty (OUG nr. 34/2014, transposing Directive 2011/83/EU).

Digital content delivered immediately is the exception. Before you pay, you are asked to expressly agree that we start delivering the playbook at once and to acknowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal — the condition set by art. 16 lit. m) of OUG nr. 34/2014. If you would rather keep the 14 days, do not complete the purchase.

Where the right of withdrawal does apply — access has not started, or your purchase falls outside that exception — tell us within 14 days of the contract at hello@finito.guide. Any clear statement is enough; you may use the model form in Annex B of OUG nr. 34/2014 but you are not obliged to. We refund within 14 days of receiving your notice, by the same means you paid with, at no cost to you.

9.If something is not as described

Digital content has to match what was described and what you could reasonably expect of it. If a playbook does not — it is not what the page said, it is inaccessible, it is materially incomplete or broken — you have the remedies of OUG nr. 141/2021: having it brought into conformity, a proportionate price reduction, or termination with a refund. Write to hello@finito.guide and describe what went wrong. Handling this costs you nothing, and these rights are yours by law, not by our goodwill.

Outside those cases we look at refund requests individually and decide case by case; we do not advertise a blanket money-back promise we would not keep. When a purchase is refunded, access to that playbook and to the progress recorded against it ends with the refund.

10.Creators: selling through the platform

Publishing is free. To sell, you complete Stripe Connect onboarding: Stripe verifies your identity and handles payouts and tax reporting. You remain responsible for your own taxes and, where the law requires it, for being registered to trade (PFA, SRL or the equivalent in your country) and for issuing your own fiscal documents.

We retain a 30% commission on the gross amount of each sale; the remaining 70% is transferred to your connected account on Stripe's payout schedule. Stripe's processing fees, and any refund, chargeback or reversal, are settled against the sale they belong to.

You warrant that you hold the rights to everything you publish, that your description, price and claims are accurate, and that you do not promise an outcome you cannot support.

If you sell in a professional capacity you are a business user under Regulation (EU) 2019/1150. So: we describe the main ranking parameters in the next section; we give you at least 15 days' notice of changes to these terms that affect you, and you may terminate within that period; and where we restrict, suspend or terminate your listings we give you a statement of reasons — beforehand, or when it takes effect where that is not possible — plus 30 days' notice for a termination, unless the law requires otherwise or you have repeatedly breached these terms. Complaints about such a decision go to hello@finito.guide and get a written answer, and we are willing to attempt mediation in good faith with an independent mediator.

11.Ranking, recommendations and visibility

Search results and listings are ordered by how well a playbook matches your query and by signals computed from the catalogue: text relevance, completeness, how recently it was updated, how many people bought and finished it, and its ratings. Personalised rails additionally use the interests you selected and what you have opened, saved or bought; the browse filters and the random pick let you reach the catalogue without personalisation.

We do not sell placement in results. If we ever accept payment for visibility, it will be labelled as such wherever it appears.

12.Intellectual property

The Finito name, logo, design, texts and code belong to us or are used with the rightholders' permission. You may not copy, adapt or use them outside normal use of the platform without our written permission. Rights in user-generated content stay with its authors, subject to the licence in section 4.

If you believe content on the platform infringes your rights, write to hello@finito.guide with enough detail to identify the content and the right you hold; we handle such notices under section 6.

13.Availability, suspension and termination

We work to keep the platform available but do not promise uninterrupted service; we may change, add or withdraw features, and we run maintenance. You can stop using the platform and delete your account whenever you want.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or the law, with a statement of reasons and, where the breach is not serious, after a warning and a chance to put it right. If we ever discontinue the platform we will give reasonable advance notice and a window to export what can be exported.

14.Liability

We provide the platform with reasonable care and skill. The content of a playbook is the responsibility of whoever published it, and whether following one works out depends on circumstances we do not control — your situation, third parties, and rules set by public authorities.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, lost opportunity or lost data arising from use of the platform, and our total liability in connection with a paid playbook is limited to the amount you paid for it.

Nothing here excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited: for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for intent or gross negligence, for fraud, or under mandatory consumer-protection rules. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights apply in full and this section does not narrow them.

15.Personal data and cookies

How we handle personal data — what we collect, on what legal basis, who processes it for us, how long we keep it and what rights the GDPR gives you — is set out in our privacy policy. Which cookies we set, and how to change or withdraw your consent, is in our cookie policy.

16.Complaints and dispute resolution

Write to us first at hello@finito.guide. We answer complaints in writing, within 30 days at the latest.

If you are a consumer and we cannot reach agreement, you can complain to the National Authority for Consumer Protection (anpc.ro), including through alternative dispute resolution under Legea nr. 140/2015. The European Commission's online dispute resolution platform ceased operating on 20 July 2025, so there is no longer an EU ODR form to point you to.

These terms are governed by Romanian law. If you are a consumer, that does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings before the courts of that country. In every other case, the courts of Bucharest, Romania have jurisdiction.

17.Changes to these terms

We update these terms as the platform changes. The version in force is always the one on this page, dated at the top. We announce material changes by email or in the product before they take effect — at least 15 days in advance for creators who sell through the platform, who may terminate within that period. Continuing to use the platform after a change takes effect means you accept the new version; if you do not accept it, stop using the platform and delete your account.

18.Contact
