  1. Order certified dispositions for every case
    30 min

This step produces one certified certificate of disposition for every case that passed your eligibility screen — the court’s official record of the charge, the disposition, and the sentence. The trap is that a plain copy looks identical but is worthless to a judge, so you need certified copies from each deciding court, plus a tracker that shows what has arrived.

    1. Take the case list from your eligibility screen — court, case number, offense, disposition date — one row per case with a go verdict.
    2. For each court, find the clerk’s request method on the court’s website: online, by mail, or in person.
    3. Request a certified certificate of disposition in your name, quoting the case number, and ask for one extra certified copy of each case — copies are cheaper now than a second request later.
    4. Note each court’s fee (commonly $5–$30 per copy; it varies by court) and turnaround: mail usually takes 1–3 weeks, pickup is often same day.
    5. Keep a tracker with columns for court, date requested, fee, method, expected date, and date arrived; follow up on any court that passes its estimate.
