Start a personal chef business cooking in clients' kitchens

  1. Define the trial offer and the go/no-go line
    45 min

This step produces one page — the trial offer sheet — that fixes who you cook for, what one paid trial session includes, the fee, and the go/no-go line you apply when the sessions are done. The line must be written before the results exist: a line chosen after you already love the households is not a line.

    1. Write the target profile: busy households with a food problem — two working adults, children with activities, a nightly takeout habit, and a grocery bill that keeps rising.
    2. Define one paid trial session: a menu planned with the household, groceries passed through at receipt cost, and three to four hours on site cooking five days of meals in their kitchen.
    3. Set the trial fee at the target price you are testing — the plan's working figure is $290 per session.
    4. Write the go/no-go line: at least 3 of the 5 trial households must commit to a weekly booking at the target price.
    5. Date the sheet and keep it where you will see it on decision day.
