Take stock of access and listing status

What this produces: a status snapshot — who owns the profile, whether the listing is live, suspended, or unclaimed, and whether verification is complete. The trap is ownership: a listing can show in Maps while another account manages it, or sit unclaimed for years, and each case demands a different next step.
- Sign in at business.google.com with the Google account that should own the listing.
- Open the listing and note the Verified badge plus any banner or notice on the dashboard.
- If no listing appears, search your business name in Maps and check for “Claim this business” or “Owned by another account.”
- Search the account inbox for “Google Business Profile” and record the sender and date of any suspension notice.
- Open the Google Business Profile app with the same account and compare what it shows.
- Log owner email, listing state, verification status, and notice details in the tracking sheet.
